Original Beginnings - Our Story
For over a century, the Bairds of WFB stayed true to their craft, valuing authenticity and heritage above all. This year (2025), their vision found a new voice with Burgoyne Original Masters (BOM) — a platform that brings together creators across art, craft, music, design and culture. An ongoing exploration of authenticity and excellence, BOM is a space to engage with those who shape culture and honour heritage.

BOM’s strategy combines cultural patronage, collaborations, editorial storytelling and documentation through digital platforms, alongside annual coffee table publications featuring masters from diverse creative backgrounds. The initiative further aims to expand through archives, grants, cultural programming and interdisciplinary exchange. BOM’s strongest differentiator lies in its foundation within Burgoyne’s 120-year-old textile legacy, allowing it to bridge heritage craftsmanship with contemporary creative practice through authenticity, cultural depth and long-standing material knowledge.
Even while engaging with multiple creative disciplines, BOM consistently returns to textile heritage, material culture and practices rooted in craftsmanship, mastery and excellence of process.
